Shaving gel won’t allow the fluffy slime to form correctly. Squeeze in a few drops of food coloring until you achieve your desired color. Add a splash of color to your fluffy slime by squirting around 3 drops of coloring into your mixture. Pour an additional drop or 2 into the slime if you want the color to be more vibrant. So if you do plan on storing it for future use, just note that the shaving cream settles and the next day it won’t be as fluffy.

The type of contact lens solution you need and glue is very important! Substituting these ingredients for other brands may result in your slime not working. To make fluffy slime, you’ll need two kinds of glue. You can use Elmers glue, or you can use boric acid or saline solution. For an even fluffier result, you can also mix shaving cream with baking soda. This mixture will be sticky, but kneading it will make it less sticky. First add your white glue to a bowl, and then add water and the baking soda.
If it begins to soften after a while, put the slime back in the freezer until it becomes slimy and easy to play with. If your slime is still too sticky, add a little more cornstarch and knead it in. Repeat this process until you're happy with the texture of your slime. Continue to add a tablespoon of contact lens solution and mixing until you get a nice consistency.
Combine the baking soda solution with glue and mix with a spoon or with your hands. The slime will be quite sticky at first but will get less so with additional kneading. Adjust the texture to your preference by adding a pinch more baking soda for firmer slime and a bit more water for oozier slime.
